Aris studied acting at the prestigious Tisch School in his hometown of New York City. Early in his career, Aris was often miscast, which led some to question his potential. Any doubts about his ability were put to rest when Aris showed his versatility in the role of Gerry, the smart yet soulful lead, in the film Death Fish. After relocating to Los Angeles at the turn of the century, Aris appeared in a string of guest starring roles on such diverse series as Boston Public, One on One, Grounded for Life, The Shield, Cold Case and Navy: NCIS.
Aris is best known for his recurring role as Caesar, the loveable Stars Hollow cook and comic foil, on the past three seasons of the hit television series Gilmore Girls. He made his feature film debut in the independent romantic comedy The Yardsale as Peanut, a guy trying to raise money for an engagement ring. Aris will next be seen starring opposite Jamie Kennedy and Vivica A. Fox in the breakdance comedy Kickin' It Old Skool, scheduled for release in 2007, while continuing to play Caesar on Season 7 of Gilmore Girls as it moves to the new CW Network.
